Easy Slice Egg Cutter via target.com

Egg Slicer

Perfectly cut egg slices are essential to dishes like niçoise salad, potato salads and plenty of other recipes using leftover hard-boiled eggs. But even with a super sharp knife, it’s not always easy to cut each one with the same thickness. With the help of this egg slicer, evenly cut egg slices are no sweat—and better yet, are guaranteed.

Why it made our list: Shannon Norris, a senior food stylist for Taste of Home, loves that you can make not only slices, but also wedges with this tool. Check out more things you can do with an egg slicer!

Dash 7-Egg Everyday Egg Cooker via target.com

Egg Cooker

From whipping up deviled eggs to your favorite scrambled egg recipes, you can hard boil, soft boil, scramble and poach eggs in this nifty egg cooker. All you need to do is add water, place your eggs in the cooker and press start.

Why it made our list: Maggie Knoebel, a culinary assistant in our Test Kitchen, and her family adore this egg cooker. She claims her parents are obsessed with this find.

Egg Separator via amazon.com

Egg Separator

Some recipes like meringues call for just egg whites, and other recipes like tiramisu call for just egg yolks—which is why egg tools like an egg separator come in handy. This egg separator will make keeping the whites from the yolks a piece of cake.

If you don’t have this specific tool, you can try cracking your egg over a funnel as a makeshift separator. The egg white will fall right through while the egg yolk stays put.

Taste of Home staff also love this chick egg separator. (If you like those, check out these other quirky kitchen gadgets.)

Why it made our list: Lauren Pahmeier, one of our associate editors, likes this egg separator for its short handle that doesn’t take up too much space in her apartment drawers. Plus, thanks to the small metal ledge on the side opposite the long handle, it can hang over a small bowl—which keeps both hands free to crack eggs.

Oxo Good Grips Balloon Whisk via amazon.com

Balloon Whisk

Whisking is key to creating the perfect consistency for several types of food, eggs included! A balloon whisk like this one will help you make the perfect batch of fluffy scrambled eggs. Just make sure you’re whisking them for long enough, and avoid these other mistakes you might be making with eggs.

Why it made our list: James likes a balloon whisk in particular when whisking eggs (as compared to other whisk types like French or flat) because it aerates them more quickly and easily.

Lodge Silicone Egg Ring, ASER via walmart.com

Say goodbye to messy, egg-splattered pans. This egg ring prevents them from taking up the whole pan. Plus, it creates perfectly round eggs each and every time. (You can even use it to make perfectly round pancakes, too.)

If you don’t have an egg ring, use a mason jar lid in the meantime, and make this mason jar lid egg sandwich to test it out.

Berndes Spatulas for Non Stick Cookware - Turner Spatula Ergonomically Designed Black Slotted Spatula Turner Nonstick Kitchen Tool via amazon.com

Slotted Turner

Use this slotted turner to flip and cook different types of eggs. Sarah Farmer, Executive Culinary Director, explains the differences between spatulas and turners: “Turners are for cooking. They feature angled heads which allow you to get to the bottom of the food in a pan for flipping. Spatulas are for prep work and baking. They are straight, not bent, and allow you to scrape food from the sides of bowls. If you’re flipping eggs, a turner is the best tool for the job.”

Why it made our list: Sarah always reaches for this slotted turner. Why? She thinks it has the right amount of bend and flexibility to give eggs a gentle lift. Plus, the edge is thin, which makes it easy to slide underneath the food you’re whipping up.

Deviled Egg Tray via walmart.com

This egg tray makes deviled eggs look a whole lot more tempting (which we didn’t think was possible). You’ll be sure to see a few sneaky grabs at this beautiful, dishwasher-safe porcelain tray that holds 24 deviled eggs.

Why it made our list: If you regularly make deviled eggs out of a dozen hard-boiled eggs, it’s important to get a tray that fits all 24 halves. With some trays that hold only 12 or 18 eggs, there will always be some that don’t fit on the tray. Lauren likes this tray because you never have to worry about what to do with leftover halves. Plus, it’s an egg tray, shaped like an egg—what could be more fitting?

Why it made our list: Nicole can’t help but rave about this frying pan. She uses it on the regular to make scrambles, over-easies and sunny side ups.
