Our team of expert editors, foodies and home cooks have been testing GreenPan cookware for over two years. I’ve personally used it in my home kitchen, and I even bought my parents a 13-piece set for Christmas one year. It’s reliable and effortlessly nonstick—which is a winning duo when scrambling eggs in the morning or reheating last night’s leftovers.

Most recently, our Product Testing Team put GreenPan through the paces as part of our best ceramic cookware showdown. Even when pitted against 16 other brands—including viral darlings like Caraway and Our Place—GreenPan came out as best overall.

Our team weighed four key metrics: packaging, features, performance/user experience and value, while collecting over 675 data points. The team fried eggs (both with and without oil), seared chicken breast and flipped crepes. We were impressed with just how nonstick the GreenPan coating is, with every food neatly sliding across the surface. And while ceramic cookware shouldn’t get as hot as cast iron or stainless steel, we were still impressed by the chicken, which cooked to a perfect shade of bronze.

Plus, cleanup is just as easy as cooking. Grease, cooked-on food bits and even stubborn egg residue washes or wipes away with minimal effort. Keep in mind though—like all nonstick pans, GreenPan cookware does lose some of its coating with normal wear and tear. After about a year of daily use, my pan started to require a bit more oil or a little scrubbing after use, but it was still perfectly functional.
