It may be summer, but Costco is prepared for the holiday season ahead. Yes, the Christmas holidays. Shoppers all over the United States have reported sightings of Costco Christmas decorations, Advent calendars and other holiday goods.

It’s not uncommon to see fall decorations, Halloween candy or even pumpkin drinks (looking at you, Starbucks fall menu). But Christmas at Costco? It’s a gift!

What Costco Christmas decorations are in stock?

For reference, we checked costco.com, reviewed TikToks from shoppers and went to a Costco warehouse in Myrtle Beach. If you’re ready to shop for wrapping paper and holiday decor, then Costco is the place to be.

Advent calendars

Costco is selling an assortment of film-themed Advent calendars, including Elf, A Christmas Story and National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation. Each Advent calendar has pieces you open one day at a time to build a scene from the iconic film. The calendars all cost $29.99 a pop.

Holiday decor

Costco’s website lists holiday decorations, including nativity sets, artificial wreaths and trees, outdoor and indoor statues and menorahs. There’s also an assortment of light-up statutes with characters like Stitch from Lilo & Stitch, The Grinch and Mickey Mouse for $49.

The kids will love this assortment of holiday mini Squishmallows, which come in a box of eight for $16.99. Costco also has Swarovski ornaments, a collection of four Bellevue holiday candles and a set of colorful lights for the house priced at $329.99.

Wrapping paper

Plan to stock up on wrapping paper, bows and ribbons. Skip the rush in November or December and perfect your skills for wrapping Christmas presents now.

Is everything Christmas already in stores?

No, Costco still has plenty of Christmas decorations and treats to come. You can also expect Costco to sell some of its most iconic holiday foods as the season approaches. We hope to see the Costco cookie trays, popular hot cocoa bombs and this giant bottle of eggnog reappear on shelves.

Is Christmas at Costco early this year?

Nope. In previous years, Costco dropped its Christmas products in summer, sometimes as early as June or July, depending on the location. This helps the warehouses avoid overstock during the actual holiday season and, not surprisingly, boosts sales. Because of this model, Costco tends to sell out of most of its seasonal items by mid-December, and they won’t have to put too many items on clearance after the holidays.

Will Costco skip Halloween candy and decorations?

Of course not! Costco already has a plethora of Halloween decorations and candy in stores. (Including that giant Costco Halloween candy bag.) But keep in mind that Costco does this so that its inventory can be steady for shoppers, which means they might not have an excess by the time Halloween actually rolls around. To get ahead of the game (and pick up the most popular Halloween candy), then you might want to make a trip to Costco to grab your Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups ASAP. And maybe picking up Christmas decorations and gift-wrapping gear isn’t such a bad idea either.
