We Found Out Gordon Ramsay’s Favorite Fast Food—Here’s What He Orders

Gordon Ramsay isn't the only celebrity chef that loves this spot.
To say Gordon Ramsay has a busy schedule might be an understatement. Between managing Michelin-starred restaurants, appearing on TV shows and filming his show Uncharted, he also has to eat. Gordon Ramsay’s favorite drive-thru—and his favorite fast food during a hectic production schedule—might surprise you.
What’s the Chef’s Favorite Fast Food?
We had the chance to chat with him about Gordon Ramsay: Uncharted, which is airing on National Geographic right now. During our interview, we couldn’t help but ask about fast food!
“Every chef in the country loves indulging in fast food,” says the chef. “So, take me to the drive-thru at In-N-Out burger and you’ll see me in the back seat with tinted windows with a Double Double.”
In-N-Out Burger is a favorite among celebrity chefs; Alton Brown and Ina Garten both love In-N-Out, too. His tried-and-true order is a Double-Double plus fries.
Gordon Ramsay’s Take on “Fast” Food
In Chef Ramsay’s opinion, not all fast food is drive-thru food. Given that he’s a Master Chef, it’s no surprise that one of his’s go-to meals on the road is something he cooks himself.
“Yeah, so let’s get one thing clear,” the chef says. “Fast food doesn’t need to be junk food. Fast food can be good food. I have a show on YouTube called Scrambled. Every country I go to [for Uncharted], I’ll do a scramble.”
He mixes in regional ingredients to play with local flavors and keep things interesting.
“So, for instance when I was in Louisiana,” he says, “I did scrambled eggs with beautiful crawfish. When I was in Guyana, I did scrambled eggs with the most amazing black piranhas. When I was in India, I did the most amazing acorn squash scrambled eggs.”
