This TikTok Account Is Two Men Making Gourmet Meals in the Woods, and We’re Obsessed

Spending so much time indoors last year absolutely changed our kitchen habits. It wasn’t long before the boredom kicked in, and we all started making pizza dough, homemade bread and even tortillas from scratch (with the help of a tortilla toaster, of course).

Sure, it may look like your usual Kraft Mac and Cheese, but this TikTok mac and cheese hack has changed the way we prep our mac forever.

When it comes to cooking outdoors, though, we’re usually about simple camping recipes. But @menwiththepot has gone viral on TikTok for making gourmet meals from scratch—out in the woods!

What Do the Guys Cook?

@menwiththepot share amazing creations like this chicken Alfredo, with every ingredient carefully chopped and kneaded on beautiful wooden “counters” and cooked in cast-iron pots and pans over a roaring fire. They even made a drying rack for the pasta out of branches!

If that didn’t blow your mind, check out this video where they make—believe it or not—gnocchi from scratch. I stick exclusively to the frozen aisle at Trader Joe’s for gnocchi, so that makes this even more of a feat.

The guys even chop and carve wood to roll little notches in the pasta.

Last but not least, they make a rolada (or Polish beef roulade) from scratch. In this TikTok video, they make their own mallet. And while cooking generally seems like a hectic affair, these videos have a calming quality, with the gentle sounds of chopping and the quiet crackle of the fire blending with the soothing hiss of steam in the background.

Who Are the Men with the Pot?

The account is the work of Slawek Kalkraut and Krzysztof Szymanski, two Polish friends living in Ireland who love to cook out in the elements. Their cooking adventures really took off when they decided to make a cleaver from scratch (it’s in the videos and yes, you can buy one).
